The Bishop’s Sacrifice is the band’s second album and it’s much rockier with songs that are largely about politics, philosophy or religion. The core band for this record is Martin Vengadesan on vocals/bass/keyboards, Joshua Rayan on electric guitar and Andrew Sagayam on drums. It includes the psychedelic funk groove of Hazard A Guess, the philosophical rocker Thirty Pieces Of Silver and a number of left-wing political commentaries such as The Final Hours Of Salvador Allende and The Peasant Revolt. It also contains the 23 minute long progressive rock anthem The Battle Of Emerald Skye. It has Moog synth, mellotron, heavy metal sections and a stunning guest appearance on sitar by Kumar Karthigesu of Akasha.
